Hi, I’m Jennifer Grigg. I was an extremely shy child and a socially awkward adult which made me strive to find ways to better understand and improve myself. I’ve grown from shy introvert to firefighter to coach and speaker and now I help other free spirits, misfits, nonconformists and square pegs do the same for themselves and embrace who they really are.
My fascination with self-empowerment led me to studying body language and human behaviour in order to understand others better but also to develop my own people skills in the same way I was drawn to holistic wellness coaching in order to find my way to living a fuller, healthier, more zenny life (yes, I just made that word up lol).
I’m drawn to kindred souls and find that it’s usually because of one of two things;
1) they’re a fellow introvert like me (or an introverted extrovert, or an extroverted introvert, or even an ambivert…point being, a large part of their life and personality is lived internally.
2) a shared experience of childhood trauma in some form or another which caused life long battles with their own personal demons and resulted in avoidance through addiction – to drugs and/or alcohol and depression and/or anxiety. Mine were the latter two.
If you don’t fall into either of those, but still think you might want to work with me, that’s totally doable. I have good friends that fall outside of those categories too. 🙂
I’m into meditating, yoga, journalling, reading books and other woo-woo spiritual stuff like crystals and visualization. Although no longer a firefighter, I still work with fire service offering training and presentations on mental wellness and nonverbal communication.
